Message	It does switch to vents when you hit auto. It blows cold for about a minute then goes warm or hot. I need to check and see if the compressed is shutting off. I am out of town right now I will check it when I get back. The defrost blows ice cold if I have it set to 60. Believe me I do not want to cool my car that way it is just the only way it blows cold.
